Catacomb 3D

This game carried on from two previous games named Catacomb and Catacomb 2 which were also developed by John Carmack and published by SoftDisk but whose gameplay was viewed from overhead.

Story

You are a magician who has to kill the evil Nemesis. You will have to fight your way against orcs, skeletons, wizards, and demons to make it through cemeteries, dungeons and catacombs.

Features

Even though the graphics are EGA, this is the first game to use a textured 3D graphics engine.

Release Details

Released in 1991 as Catacomb 3D: A New Dimension
Later as Catacomb 3D: The Descent.
Both releases are by SoftDisk.
